North Park Theological Seminary

North Park Theological Seminary, located in Chicago, Illinois, joined the SSA in 2013. Their current dean is David Kersten.

Mission Statement:

The mission of North Park Theological Seminary is to prepare students academically, practically, and spiritually to serve the Evangelical Covenant Church and other Christian bodies and to minister to both Church and world through scholarship, teaching, service and community life.

Amy headshotAmy Oxendale is the Director of Seminary Recruitment and Admission at North Park Theological Seminary. She has been part of North Park University since 2009, earning a dual degree at North Park Theological Seminary (master of arts in Christian formation) and the School of Business and Nonprofit Management (master of nonprofit administration). She previously served as the Spiritual Formation Coordinator for University Ministries at North Park. She is from Pennsylvania, but lived in Colorado, Canada, and Africa before coming to Chicago.


View More: Paul DeNeui has been on faculty at North Park since 2005. He is the Professor of Missiology and Intercultural Studies. He holds a PhD from Fuller in Missiology. He has done extensive work in Thailand and is interested in intercultural studies, holistic community development, stewardship of creation care, and interfaith work. He is passionate about helping people grow food in his city of Chicago. He is a Master Gardner through the University of Illinois.
